In addition to my phone message, I’m expressing my concern in writing as well. A few weeks ago I responded to a news release offering a ‘Slow Food’ dinner at Trimmer’s Outpost in Genoa, Aug 28th, by email, commenting that I’ve been a previous member of Slow Food, a previous convivium director, etc. and would like to attend.
They quickly responded, asking for what we’d want to eat and said it really wasn’t a Slow Food dinner, they were just using the name, stating”the dinner is sponsored by the ‘Sustainable Living & Renewable Energy Roundup’, a Carson Valley non-profit. I said I felt their use of ‘Slow Food’ without authorization was not allowed. They commented back that last year someone from Reno SF was supposed to attend but didn’t show and didn’t apologize. They commented they didn’t know there a problem in the use of the name as I’d suggested.
They have now asked me to provide some brief information about what is Slow Food. I’m hesitating and contacting you as a real member of SF would be most appropriate. As an 11 year member from Bra, IT, in ’99, I could fill in with a few words and stories, but Not without your blessings. Also, I have NO handouts or literature, not even the old monthlies, all left behind with my former chapter.

I’ve been a member of Slow Food for a couple of years now and realize that I’ve not posted our ranch/farm as a local producer of fine vegetables. We are located behind Bordertown and are an historic ranch and are now increasing our produce and I would like to be on your local farm listing.
